1. Have you ever been directed by the court and/or the Administrative Judge to report to court at a particular time when you are assigned to a particular courthouse? How and when is that information provided to you?

2. Does the time that you must report to court differ in each jurisdiction? If so, please explain how it differs in each jurisdiction. How and when is that information provided to you?

3. Where do visiting/Senior Judges park at the respective courthouse(s) where you sit?

4. Do court personnel provide you with information about parking in each jurisdiction? Please explain.

5. Are you provided with the name and phone number of the administrative aide (and/or contact person) at the courthouse to which you are assigned?

6. Are there reserved or designated spaces for visiting and Senior Judges at the courthouses? Please provide information for each jurisdiction where you sit.

7. To whom does a Senior Judge report upon his/her arrival at the court? Please provide information for each jurisdiction where you sit.

Office Space

8. Is there office space available for Senior Judges to use in each of the courthouses? Please provide information for each jurisdiction where you sit.

9. Is there a computer/laptop for the Senior Judge to use during the day? If yes, please provide details for each jurisdiction where you sit.

10. Are there law clerks available to Senior Judges in court and after court, especially when the judge is writing an opinion? Please provide information for each jurisdiction where you sit.

Adjudicatory proceedings/docket

11. What is the practice related to Senior Judges issuing search warrants in the jurisdiction(s) where you sit?

12. Are violations of probation hearings handled differently in the jurisdiction(s) where you sit? For the defendants that you have sentenced and placed on probation, who handles the violations of probation hearings, if any? If so, please provide details as to each jurisdiction.

13. Are there specific sentencing considerations in different jurisdictions (e.g. in some jurisdictions a defendant sentenced to more than six months, will be sent to the Dept. of Corrections instead of the local detention center, and in other jurisdictions a defendant sentenced to eighteen months or more will be sent to the Dept. of Corrections)?

14. If a Senior Judge requires MDEC training at the courthouse or a refresher, who does the judge contact at the court for training? Please explain and provide the names of the jurisdiction(s).

15. Are Senior Judges invited to attend District or Circuit Court bench meetings with active judges? If not, how do they obtain information about bench meetings?
