Internship Program Brochure

The internship program in Judicial Education is designed to provide an opportunity for law students to experience a government sector workplace within the state judicial branch. Contact with judges and judicial branch employees, as well as work on the development of courses for continuing judicial education, will give interns the opportunity to gain real world experience. Under the supervision of Judicial Education's Manager, the intern will assist in working with the course development staff, conducting legal and interdisciplinary research, developing material for judicial education, and many other related tasks. Additionally, interns will have the opportunity to attend conferences, classes, and meetings with members of the Judiciary.

Applicants should submit a cover letter, resume, and writing sample. Internship sessions are scheduled in accordance with law school semesters in the spring and fall. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, but the following deadlines apply:

Spring Term: November 1
Fall Term: June 1

Candidates for the internship program will be selected on the basis of their academic standing, expressed interest, and experience. General knowledge of computers and familiarity with programs such as Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe is recommended.
