The POI (Person of Interest) Insight allows you to retrieve data about POI's using search criteria based on your manager/security roles.
Steps:
Click the Main Menu menu.
Step 1Click the HCM Systems menu.
Step 2Click the Insights menu.
Step 3Click the POI Insight menu.
Step 4The POI Insight page provides general contact information for City and County Paid Judiciary Employees. The POI Insight can also generate a report of all POI employees within a specific Department or Location based on the selected search criteria. If a specific POI employee information is needed, the report can be generated by using Employee ID or Last/First Name search criteria.
Step 5If you click Search and do not select any criteria, all of the POI's in CONNECT will appear.
Click the Search button.
Step 6There are a total of 934 POIs in CONNECT.
Step 7Click the Export button to download the search results into an Excel spreadsheet.
Step 8You can choose to Save File or Open with Microsoft Excel. For this example, you will open the file.
Click the OK button.
Step 9Once the file is open, you are able to filter, sort, etc. just as you would any other Excel file.
Step 10Click the Minimize button to return to the POI Insight page.
Step 11Click the Clear button.
Step 12Click the Look up Department button.
Step 13If you do not know the Department number, click the Search by drop-down list.
For this example, you are searching for CC Allegany County.
Step 14Click the Description list item.
Step 15CONNECT supports the (%) percent sign as a wildcard feature when searching for data in character fields. The (%) percent sign matches one or more characters.
Click the Look Up button.
Step 17The (%) percent wildcard search returned 2 results, both including Allegany in the Description.
Click the CC Allegany County link.
Step 18Notice the Department number is posted to the right of the Department field.
Click the Search button.
Step 19There are 11 POI's in the department CC Allegany County.
Step 20Click the Clear button.
Step 21The POI Insight allows you to enter more than one Department or Location.
For this example, you will look up POI's in Courthouse locations.
Step 22Click the Look up Location button.
Step 23Click the CC12A link for CC Harford - Courthouse.
Step 24Notice the Location Code is posted to the right of the Location field.
Click the Look up Location button.
Step 25Click the CC13A link for CC Howard - Courthouse.
Step 26Click the Look up Location graphic.
Step 27Click the CC16A link for CC PG - Main Courthouse.
Step 28Notice all 3 locations selected are listed to the right of the Location field.
Click the Search button.
Step 29There are a total of 7 POI's in Courthouse locations.
Step 30Click the Clear button.
