CONNECT Insights allow you to retrieve data using search criteria based on your manager/security roles.
Steps:
Click the Main Menu menu.
Step 1Click the HCM Systems menu.
Step 2Click the Insights menu.
Step 3Each Insight will give you detailed information based on search criteria. Keep in mind, any information retrieved from Insights will display based on your security.
Step 4Let's begin with an overview of the Time Insight.
Click the Time Insight menu.
Step 5The Time Insight provides time specific criteria obtained from employee time entry.
Step 6To retrieve time information for a single employee, you can search by:
- Employee ID
- Last Name
- First Name
- Position Number
Step 7To retrieve time information for a group of employees, you can search by:
- Job Code
- Reports To
- Department
- Location
- District
- Workgroup
Step 8The Time Insight will always default to a one month time frame, with the End Date as the current date.
Step 9The Time Specific Criteria section allows you to search by:
- TRC - Time Reporting Code
- Project ID
- Activity ID
Step 10After selecting the search criteria, you can click Search to retrieve results or
Clear to remove search criteria and begin again.
Step 11Clicking the Export button will download the results into an Excel Spreadsheet. (HINT: If the spreadsheet does not open, be sure your pop-up blocker is off).
Step 12Let's review the next Insight.

Step 13Click the Absence Insight menu.
Step 14The Absence Insight provides time specific criteria obtained from employee absence requests.
Step 15Similar to the Time Insight, the Absence Insight allows you to retrieve time information for a single employee, group of employees, or by time specific criteria.
The Start and End Dates will always default to a one month time frame, with the End Date as the current date.
Step 16The Time Specific Criteria section allows you to search by:
- Absence Take
- Absence Reason
Step 17After selecting the search criteria, you can click Search to retrieve results, Clear to remove search criteria and begin again, or Export to download the results into an Excel file.

Step 18Let's review the next Insight.

Step 19Click the COOP Insight menu.
Step 20COOP stands for.....
The COOP Insight provides information of an employee's manager, their contact information and their emergency contact’s phone number. The report can be generated by location or COOP Personnel Type, which includes the COOP Essential Personnel, COOP Manager and COOP Response Team.
Step 21After selecting the search criteria, you can click Search to retrieve results, Clear to remove search criteria and begin again, or Export to download the results into an Excel file.

Step 22Let's review the next Insight.

Step 23Click the Person Insight menu.
Step 24The Person Insight provides current job details of employees.
Similar to the Time and Absence Insights, the Person Insight allows you to retrieve job data information for a single employee, group of employees, or by employee type (i.e. Full/Part Time, Reg/Temp/Contractual, Appointed/Elected/etc.).
Step 25The Person Insight also allows you to search by dates:
- Seniority Date
- Entry of Duty Date
- MDJud Hire Date
- Bailiff Seniority date range (for Bailiffs only).
Step 26After selecting the search criteria, you can click Search to retrieve results, Clear to remove search criteria and begin again, or Export to download the results into an Excel file.

Step 28Click the Performance Insight menu.
Step 29The Performance Insight provides a comprehensive view on the status of employee performance documents from performance appraisals and performance improvement plans.
Step 30Similar to the Time, Absence, and Person Insights, the Performance Insight allows you to retrieve information for a single employee, group of employees, document type (i.e. performance appraisal, performance improvement plan), or document status (i.e. completed, in progress, etc.).
Step 31The Performance Insight also allows you to search by a date range using the From Date and To Date fields or by the Due Date of the performance document.
Step 32After selecting the search criteria, you can click Search to retrieve results, Clear to remove search criteria and begin again, or Export to download the results into an Excel file.

Step 34Click the POI Insight menu.
Step 35A POI is a Person of Interest.
The POI Insight provides general contact information for City and County Paid Judiciary Employees.
Step 36Similar to the Time, Absence, Person, and Performance Insights, the POI Insight allows you to retrieve contact information for a single employee or group of employees.
Step 37After selecting the search criteria, you can click Search to retrieve results, Clear to remove search criteria and begin again, or Export to download the results into an Excel file.

Step 38Let's review the next Insight.

Step 39Click the Class & Comp Insight menu.
Step 40The Class & Comp Insight provides employee job and salary details and tracks an employee's relationship to their position.
This Insight may not be available for all users.
Step 41Similar to the Person Insights, the Class & Comp Insight allows you to retrieve job data information for a single employee, group of employees, or by employee type (i.e. Full/Part Time, Reg/Temp/Contractual, Appointed/Elected/etc.).
Step 42The Class & Comp Insight also allows you to search by dates:
- Seniority Date
- Bailiff Seniority date range (for Bailiffs only).
Step 43The Class & Comp Insight also allows you to search by budget data including:
- Salary Plan
- Salary Range
- Cost Center
- Check Distribution
- Fund Codes
- Budget Status
Step 44After selecting the search criteria, you can click Search to retrieve results, Clear to remove search criteria and begin again, or Export to download the results into an Excel file.

Step 45Let's review the last Insight.

Step 46Click the Position Insight menu.
Step 47The Position Insight provides position information and tracks their relationships independently of the employee in the position.
Step 48Unlike other Insights, to retrieve position information for a single employee, you would search by Position Number.
To retrieve information for a group of employees, you can search by job data, employee type, or budget data.
Step 49The Position Insight also allows you to search by Status (i.e. Filled, Vacant, etc.).
Step 50After selecting the search criteria, you can click Search to retrieve results, Clear to remove search criteria and begin again, or Export to download the results into an Excel file.
