07_28_16_POI Insight


Concept

In this POI (Person of Interest) Insight  topic, you will retrieve contact information using search criteria based on your manager/security roles.


Steps:

  1. Click the Main Menu menu.

  2. Click the HCM Systems menu.

  3. Click the Insights menu.

    Step 3

  4. Click the POI Insight menu.

    Step 4

  5. The POI Insight provides general contact information for City and County Paid Judiciary Employees.

     

    If a specific POI's information is needed, the report can be generated by using Employee ID or Last/First Name search criteria.

     

    If information is needed for a group of POIs, the report can be generated by selecting one or more Departments, Location, or District.

    Step 5

  6. For this example, you will view POIs in CC Montgomery County.

     

    Click the Look up Location button.

  7. The Look Up Location will display a list of Locations.

    Step 7

  8. If you do not know the Location Code, click the Search by drop-down list.

    Step 8

  9. Click the Description list item.

    Step 9

  10. CONNECT supports the (%) percent sign as a wildcard feature when searching for data in character fields.  The (%) percent sign matches one or more characters.

     

    Click in the Description field.

  11. Since the department is CC Montgomery County, you can enter a few characters in the search.

     

    a valid value
     e.g.
    Enter
     "%mont"
     into the field.

  12. Click the Look Up button.

  13. The (%) percent wildcard search returned 4 results, all including Montgomery in the Description.

     

    Click the CC Montgomery County link.

  14. The Location selected will display here.

    Step 14

  15. The Search button is to view the results based on the search criteria.

     

    The Clear button is to delete the search criteria.

     

    The Export button is to download the search results into an Excel spreadsheet.

  16. Click the Search button to view the results based on the search criteria.

  17. The results displayed below show 8 POIs in CC Montgomery County.

  18. For this UPK, business phone numbers and email addresses were not entered.  POIs will have access to enter/update their personal information including business phone number and email address.

  19. For this example, you will search for multiple departments in CC Montgomery County.

     

    Click the Look up Department button.

  20. Click the 1015030 link for CC 15 - Problem Solving Courts.

  21. The first Department selected will display here.

     

    Now you will add another Department.

  22. Click the Look up Department button.

  23. Click the 1015121 link for CC 15 - Judges' Aides.

  24. Both Departments selected will appear here.

  25. Click the Search button to view the results based on the search criteria.

  26. Notice the results were filtered down to the 2 departments selected in CC Montgomery County.  The results displayed below show 3 POIs in CC Montgomery County Problem Solving Courts and Judges' Aides.

  27. Click the Clear button to delete the previous search criteria.
