In this Position Insight topic, you will retrieve position data about employees using search criteria based on your time manager security roles.
Steps:
Click the Main Menu button.
Step 1Click the HCM Systems menu.
Step 2Click the Insights menu.
Step 3Click the Position Insight menu.
Step 4You will need to select one or more search criteria and/or time specific criteria.
Step 5The Position Insight provides specific criteria obtained from position management.
If a specific employee's information is needed, the report can be generated using Position Number as the search criteria.
If information is needed for a group of employees, the report can be generated by selecting one or more Job Codes, Reports To, Supervisor ID, Department, Location, District, FT/PT, or REG/TEMP.
Step 6Search criteria specific to the Position Insight include:
- Status - Filled, Partial, Vacant
- Budget and Pre-Budget Status (i.e. Budgeted, Approved, Frozen, etc.)
- Salary Plan and Range
- Cost Center
- Check Distribution
- Fund Codes
Step 7The security access for this topic will allow you to view employees within CC Montgomery County.
For this example, you will search for a specific PIN in CC Montgomery County.
Click in the Position Number field.
Step 8Click the 089077 link for Interpreter.
Step 10The Search button is to view the results based on the search criteria.
The Clear button is to delete the search criteria.
The Export button is to download the search results into an Excel spreadsheet.
Step 11Click the Search button to view the results based on the search criteria.
Step 12The result displayed on the defaulted Position tab shows job details of the vacant PIN.
Step 13Click the Position Funding tab to view more details.
Step 14The result displayed on the Position Funding tab shows details associated with position funding.
Step 15To see information from both Position and Position Funding tabs on the same page, you would click this tab.
Step 16Click the Clear button to delete the previous search criteria.
You will now search using different criteria.
Step 17For this example, you will search for all Regular, Full-time, Budgeted,Vacant positions within the Land Records Department of CC Montgomery County.
Step 18Notice the Status is defaulted to ALL.
Click the Status drop-down list.
Step 19Click the Vacant list item.
Step 20Click the Budget Status drop-down list.
Step 21Click the Budgeted list item.
Step 22Click the Look up Department button.
Step 23The Look Up Department will display a list of Departments.
Step 24Click the Vertical scrollbar to view more departments.
Step 25You will select the Department for CC 15 - Land Records.
