Concept

In this Performance Insight topic, you will retrieve data about employee performance documents using search criteria based on your manager/security roles.


Steps:

  1. Click the Main Menu button.

  2. Click the HCM Systems menu.

  3. Click the Insights menu.

  4. Click the Performance Insight menu.

  5. You will need to select one or more search criteria and/or time specific criteria.

  6. The Performance Insight provides a comprehensive view on the status of employee performance documents.

     

    If a specific employee's information is needed, the report can be generated using Employee ID, Last/First Name or Position Number search criteria.

     

    If information is needed for a group of employees, the report can be generated by selecting one or more Departments or Districts.

  7. Search criteria specific to the Performance Insight include:

     

    - Document type - Performance Improvement Plan or Annual Performance Appraisal

    - Document status (i.e. Completed, In Progress Evaluation, Not Started, etc.)

    - Date range using From and To Date fields

    - Due Date of performance document.

  8. The security access for this topic will allow you to view employees within CC Montgomery County.

     

    For this example, you will search the CC Montgomery County - Computer Operations Department for performance documents by Document Type.

     

    Click the Look up Department button.

  9. The Look Up Department will display a list of departments.

  10. Click the Vertical scrollbar to view more departments.

  11. Click the 1015144 link for CC 15 - Computer Operations.

  12. The Department you selected will display here.

  14. Notice there are 2 types of documents that can be viewed:

    - Performance Improvement Plan (PIP)

    - Annual Performance Appraisal.

     

    For this example, click the PERFFACT link for Annual Performance Appraisal.

  15. The Search button is to view the results based on the search criteria.

     

    The Clear button is to delete the search criteria.

     

    The Export button is to download the search results into an Excel spreadsheet.

  16. Click the Search button to view the results based on the search criteria.

  17. The results displayed below show all employees who have Annual Performance Appraisals in CC 15 - Computer Operations.

  18. Click the Horizontal scrollbar to view the remaining columns.

  19. Notice the column headings show the flow of the performance document from when it was created to when it was completed.

  20. Click the Horizontal scrollbar to return to the search criteria.

  21. Click the Clear button to delete the previous search criteria.

     

    You will now search using different criteria.

  22. For this example, you will search for CC Montgomery County performance documents within a specific date range. 

     

    Click in the From Date field.

     into the From Date field.

  26. Click the Search button to view the results based on the search criteria.

  27. The results displayed below show all employees who have performance documents that were due between 12/16/2015 to 12/31/2015.

  28. Click the Export button to download the search results into an Excel spreadsheet.

  29. You have the option to Open the spreadsheet or to Save the spreadsheet.  For this example, you will open the spreadsheet.

     

    Click the OK button.

  30. Excel allows you to customize the data in the spreadsheet.

     

    After reviewing the spreadsheet, click the Minimize button.
