Rent Court for Tenants Part 2: Right of Redemption and Eviction

Please note that Maryland law now requires landlords to provide notice of the eviction at least six days before the eviction takes place. In Baltimore City, special rules apply. Please refer to the tip sheet accompanying this video for more information.

Rent Court is a term used to refer to Failure to Pay Rent cases heard in the Maryland District Court. These cases are filed by landlords against tenants.
