Baer, Assistant Chief Clerk New form, DC/CV 106, Assigned Consumer Debt Complaint was created to comply with new MD Rules 3-306, 3-308, & 3-509 regarding Judgments on Affidavit cases arising from Assigned Consumer Debt. The new Rules address judgment by affidavit cases filed by companies that purchase consumer debt that has been charged off by the original creditor. New MD Rule 3-306 requires additional information on a checklist that has been included as part of the form. The DC/CV 106 should be used for any Assigned Consumer Debt action that commences on or after January 1, 2012. The form is in the ordering and printing process and should be available at the warehouse in approximately 4-6 weeks. |
