Dennis
J. Weaver has served as Clerk of Court of Washington County since 1986.
Prior to being elected to the Clerk's position, Mr. Weaver
has worked in the Clerk's office since 1973 and was the criminal supervisor
from 1983 until being elected Clerk of Court.
Since becoming Clerk of Circuit Court, Mr. Weaver has served on many committees statewide that work to benefit the Maryland Judiciary as well as the Washington County Circuit Court. Mr. Weaver has served as a member of the Conference of Circuit Court Clerks since its inception in 1997, including serving as Conference Chair from 1998 to 2000 and again from 2005 to 2007. He is an active member of the Maryland Circuit Court Clerks' Association, and served as President of the Association from 1996 to 1998. He is currently serving as a member of the Judicial Council's Case Time Standards Sub-Committee and Child Support Sub-Committee, the Court Executive Teams Committee, the Land Records Access Committee, and as Chair of the Child Support Incentive Funds Committee. Mr. Weaver's goal for his office is to provide the residents of Washington County with well-trained, knowledgeable staff who offer prompt courteous service. Mr.
Weaver is a native of Washington County and resides in Hagerstown. He
graduated from North Hagerstown High School and Hagerstown Junior College
with an Associates Degree in Business and Accounting. |
