EXPUNGEMENT: Expungement is the removal of records from public inspection. In Maryland, records may be expunged from Motor Vehicle Administration files, police files, and court and police files. The process must be done through the proper agency. No process expunges the records from all agencies.

The Clerk's Office provides a Custodian of Records List to assist you in determining the custodians who may need to receive copies of your expungement forms.

Expungement Forms and Brochures are available on the Judiciary's web site. NOTE: There is a $30.00 filing fee for each Petition of Expungement filed in the Circuit Court for Queen Anne's County.
