Family Law Assistance Program
The Family Law Assistance Program is open on Mondays & Wednesdays from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, and the Program is also offered on the 1st & 3rd Friday mornings of each month from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. No appointment is necessary. The Family Law Assistance Program is located in the Circuit Court for Howard County, Room 209, in front of Courtroom 2. An attorney is available to provide free consultation on how to represent oneself and complete forms for family law matters, such as custody, divorce, modification of child support and other family law issues. Visitors must be self-represented and have low income to qualify for service. If you have any questions, please contact the Law Librarian at the Circuit Court at 410-313-2135.
The Family Law Assistance Program is open on the second and third Tuesday evening of each month from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The evening sessions are offered in the 50+ Center – located in the East Columbia Branch public library at 6600 Cradlerock Way, Columbia 21045. **Please note: the 50+ Center IS open during library renovations!
